Winery Tour and Tasting

The Spirit Hills winery tours and tastings are fun and educational. You will meet one of the Spirit Hills family members who will give you a tour through the winery which covers the story of bees, of Rocky Mountain wildflowers, honey harvesting, wine making and bottling. You will get to hold a honey frame, see the honey extraction equipment, the wine fermentation room and the bottling line. If you are lucky you might have the chance to see the honey extraction line or bottling line at work.

After all that you will get to sample a variety of delicious flower wines and have a chance to purchase some. If you don’t have the time for a full tour you can always drop in during our opening hours for a quick tasting.   As a family, we personally like to take the time to share with you the story of our bees and wines so that next time when you have a sip of our wines  you can taste the love, care and dedication that went into crafting the delicate flavours and aromas. In the end we aspire to give you a taste through our wines of the magic, pureness and power of our Canadian Rocky Mountain foothills.

Please use this page to book your tour. Our tour season normally runs from April until the end of October.   During July and August, our tours are Wednesday to Friday at 1:00PM, and Saturday at 1:00PM and 3:00PM. The rest of the tour season we only run tours on Fridays and Saturdays. A tour takes 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the amount of questions and the size of the group. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays with exception of long weekends.  There are no tours from November 1st until March 30th.  We have taken the following measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.  The winery will remain closed in April.  As of May we will double the amount of tours but reduce the amount of participants to a maximum of 10 people per tour in order to allow for proper social distancing.  The same social distancing measures might be applied in June and throughout the summer depending on how the Corona virus situation evolves.  Door handles, all surfaces and tasting glasses will be sterilized daily and in between tours.  Please do not join a tour if you have a fever, cough or any other symptoms of illness, or if you have been in contact with anyone with those symptoms within the 14 days prior to the tour.

Please click on the date and on the tour you are interested to join.  Our tours are limited to 20 people (not including children). Simply add the number of adults in your group via the drop down box.  The drop down box will show the number of spots still available for that tour.  You will receive an automated email to confirm your booking.  If you do not receive an automated email within 10 minutes, please check your spam box.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you.
